A pretty Japanese deciduous barberry with bright yellow foliage throughout the year. I find it prefers bright semi-shade in Australia or it will burn in full sun. Great accent in the garden which really brightens up a shady corner.
Very rare dwarf form with low growing tufts of strappy leaves and impressive 1 – 1.5 metre high spires of nodding red flowers tipped green. Nectar feeding birds just can’t get enough of them.
Bold green strappy leaves with impressive brick red flower spikes
Deciduous medium growing shrub birch, great in wet soils. The only birch to turn red in autumn.
Tall growing vigorous perennial with lilac flowers on tall stems. Open ground divisions for a limited time.
Often mistaken for a lilac. The grey leaves fall off during winter, leaving the amazing mauve purple flower panicles.
Unusual yellow butterfly bush flowering from spring through to summer. Attracts butterflies, bees and nectar feeding birds with its strong honey scent. Likes full sun and adds a bright colour to the spring/summer garden. Easy to grow with good drainage and full sun.
Tall spikes with yellow flowers almost like a poker. Bright shiny green strappy leaves. Flowers late winter, dormant in summer.
