A lovely ground cover for the shade. Dark green whorls of leaves with dainty small white flowers in spring/summer. Spreads to make a good clump via rhizomes. As it is shallow rooted it competes well in the woodland, and does not require loads of watering. The scent from the leaves increases after harvest when they dry out. Traditionally used to sweeten the odours in a room by brushing the floor with dried leaves.
