Rare small tree/large shrub with pendulous racemes of fragrant white bell shaped flowers in spring/summer and glorious yellow foliage in autumn with racemes of attractive seeds. Fissured grey bark is a winter feature. I have found it grows best with afternoon shade. Ideal in small gardens.
