A very showy and hardy catchfly with bright and happy sprays of dark reddish-purple flowers on tall stems. Flowering foliage has a blue hue. Evergreen foliage turns into a dark burgundy if well exposed to the winter cold. Grows to about 40cm tall, with a rounded clumping habit.
