Helianthus laetiflorus

One of the showiest of the American native sunflowers with bright yellow flowers and dark centre. A self supporting herbaceous perennial grows to about 1.5metres, with late summer flowers attracting bees and butterflies for pollination. Ripe seeds also provide food for birds.Excellent for the meadow garden.
